2009 Quilt Show Registration Information

 

Quilt Show Registration - Rules & Guidelines

§         Each quilt must have a separate registration form.

§         Quilt must have been made by a current Women of the West guild member.

§         Entry must not have been in any previous Women of the West quilt show.

§         Quilt must consist of three layers:  two layers of cloth filled with "batting" material held together by a stitched design.  Quilts may be embellished with material other than cloth.  All entries must meet this definition of a quilt.  It must be finished, clean and undamaged.

§         Entries must have a square or rectangular muslin label sewn or SAFETY pinned on all four corners to the top left corner of the back of the quilt with the participant's name, address, and phone number, as well as the title of the work.

§         Each quilt must be in a cloth bag (no plastic) with your name on it.  A pillowcase with masking tape or painters tape with your name on it in permanent ink seems to work well.

§         Registration forms must be received by Dawn Bryant by September 1, 2009.  Forms can be presented in person at WOW meetings, submitted online, or mailed to her at 240 110th Ave. NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55448.

§         Quilts must be dropped off during the published drop off dates and times, or special arrangements must be made in advance with one of the designated quilt collectors.  Do not drop off on the day of the show.

§         The quilt show committee reserves the right to limit entries based on space availability and content.

§         Pick up of quilts will begin at 6:00 p.m. on October 3, 2009.  NO EARLY PICKUP!!!  You must have your receipt to claim your quilt.

§         Insurance on entries will be the responsibility of the quilt-maker.
